Triptorelin
Price on application
Triptorelin is a synthetic GnRH agonist decapeptide with a D-Trp substitution at position 6 that confers enhanced potency and enzymatic resistance. It is used in research and clinical settings for modulation of the HPG axis.
Research Profile
Triptorelin is a potent GnRH analog where the native glycine at position 6 is replaced with D-tryptophan, making it approximately 100 times more potent than endogenous GnRH. Upon initial administration, it stimulates a surge of LH and FSH release from the pituitary. With continuous administration, it produces receptor desensitization and downregulation, leading to profound suppression of gonadotropin secretion and subsequent suppression of gonadal steroid production. This biphasic mechanism has made Triptorelin a valuable compound in endocrinology research, reproductive medicine, and oncology studies. It has regulatory approval in multiple countries for prostate cancer, endometriosis, and precocious puberty.
